The Teach, Play, Learn Conference is accepting proposals for presentations on real-life usage, empirical studies, and/or theoretical discussions of game-based teaching and learning. We are particularly interested in interactive workshops involving the best practices of teaching with games or playful elements in the classroom.

Now available: Canvas New Quizzes Video playlist
Interested in using Canvas New Quizzes, but not sure where to start?
Instructional Technology Consultant Megan DeMoss created a six-part series of introductions, starting with an overview of New Quizzes and then focusing on particular features. (Pro tip: Megan used a campus self-serve Academic Media Production Space to create these videos, and you can too!)

New ProfBox recipe: Create branching video scenarios with PlayPosit
Problem solving and simulations await! Students choose their own adventures, with 10 potential endings
Branching scenarios are one of the most exciting activities you can make in PlayPosit. They're basically a video version of the Choose Your Own Adventure books from the 1980s and 90s. After watching a video segment, students are presented with choices about what to do next. Each choice leads to another video, followed by another choice, and so on down a custom path until they reach the end. Also, video creation skills are not required—faculty can use existing videos or create their own.
Learn how to create your own branching scenario here.*
