ChatGPT for Education (ChatGPT Edu) is a secure, privacy-focused version of OpenAI's generative AI platform. It's designed for responsible use with university data and ensures that information entered in IU's workspace is not used to train AI models. IU ChatGPT Edu also supports higher message limits and faster performance in more than 50 languages.

Making digital course materials more accessible
Starting on April 24, Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act will require that all digital course materials, including in Canvas, comply with new federal rules around accessibility. The Digital Gardener Initiative AI/GenAI series resumes this fall on Mondays from 12:30 to 1:30pm ET. New Faculty Fellows Program
Learning Technologies launched a new Generative AI Faculty Fellows initiative. Led by Justin Hodgson, in collaboration with Professor Susan Drumm, Distance Learning Specialist Maggie Gilchrist, and Instructional Technology Consultant Terence Govender, the cross-disciplinary, cross-campus program supports faculty explorations and integration of AI tools.
IU active learning initiative recognized for innovation
Indiana University's Mosaic Initiative was named the 2025 Future Campus Award Grand Prize Winner! The initiative won due to IU's sustained commitment to integrating emerging technologies with innovative teaching strategies that enhance learning outcomes and improve experiences for both faculty and students.

Teaching and Learning Technologies recently launched a new version of the successful "Level Up Your Course" resource in IU Expand. It's intended primarily to help faculty take advantage of Canvas tools like SpeedGrader and Rubrics, while benefiting from the latest tips and tricks used by IU's instructional designers.

Use a password manager to secure your account
To help better protect your passwords and passphrases, IU has partnered with 1Password to give you free personal use of the password vault.
